What is the point of marriage in today’s society?

What is the point of marriage in today’s society?
What is the point of marriage in today’s society if
“95% of people have sex before marriage.”
“Divorce rate is approximately 50%” As per dailyinfographic.com
Marriage is a legal contract, liability, financial load, and responsibility.
“Most children are monsters.”
Men are scared of marrying because family court is tilted heavily in favor of women/mothers.
Women are scared of marrying because they think they lose shape after marriage.
“More than 1 in 5 mothers think that women who work whilst raising a family make worse mothers.”
People marry for the sake of love, fun of marriage, sexual pleasure, companionship, physical attractiveness and desire for children; if you get most of these pleasantries without any commitment, risk and responsibility, why marry at all? Is there any point of marriage in today’s society? I think yes.
Now let us see the other side of marriage. Research shows that “Although marriage rates have dropped among young adults, it is important to note that most young adults will go on to marry later in life. The probability of an adult getting married at some point during their lifetime is still nearly 90
The modern youth may find love, companionship, share thoughts, chores and even have sexual pleasure in cohabitation but it cannot replace the marriage. Cohabitation is a temporary arrangement. As long as you are learning together, working together or executing some task, two partners may stay together but as soon as the venture is over, you will have to walk away to the place your situation demands. It is not necessary that your partner will have finished his/her task at the same time and be in position to move with you. As you are a free bird you don’t have any binding or responsibility to take your partner along with you. But if you are married or even engaged you need to take care of your partner. Even if you go far you are supposed to support your partner.
Marriage is a kind of tag or identity. Even a dog needs tag for someone to claim his possession. If you are married, you belong to some particular person. This feeling that you belong to someone or someone belongs to you is a unique feeling which you cannot get by simply living together. In other words you feel secured. This security makes you feel confident and stable. Also in case of mishap an official or legal action can be implemented.
Marriage gives you a kind of respectable designation and status symbol. If you are not married, you are single, divorced, widower or unmarried. Any person would not like to belong to this category. So it is a status symbol and you have prestige in society. Without marriage you may be rich, famous and powerful but you would lack that prestige.
It is seen that some smart man who chooses not to get married and certainly not have children and that's a shame. If you do not go through the natural phases of life like youth, marriage, children and old age you have not lived a complete life. Every phase has its joy. You cannot hangout all through your
life with floating public. Having children, raising them, seeing them grow and succeed in life is usually every one’s dream. How can you achieve this without marrying? No doubt there is some sacrifice to be done but that is worth the joy you get. Summing up everything, it will be deduced that marriage is the necessity of life. That is why 90% have opined that at some point during the lifetime you have to jump into marriage.
